Cindy Kennedy results are back and margins were good.  She will not have any follow-up treatments after surgery.  Susan Foy has upcoming meetings with her doctors to determine course of treatment.  Cindy and Susan were both able to be at Sunday services!  Ronnie Harrell, Rebecca Booth’s brother, is recovering from a kidney transplant.  Talmadge Booth, Bill’s brother, is recovering from a bi-lateral stroke.  Ronnie’s and Talmadge’s addresses are on the bulletin board.  Carley Covey, LeAnn McCusker’s sister-in-law, has an aneurism on the spine.  Her condition is serious and rare; her case is being referred to specialists at John Hopkins.  Reggie Barnes has asked us to continue to pray for his aunt, Bertha Shields, of TX.  She has improved a lot but is still on a respirator for breathing.   Two members of the Kaiserslautern Church of Christ are at the Walter Reed Medical Center.  Jason Gibson was seriously injured in an IED explosion in Afghanistan.  Please, no visits at this time.  You can keep up with his progress at: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/jasongibson/mystory.  Or you can send a card to him: Walter Reed National Military Medical Center,  WTB, HHC,  556 Jason Gibson,  8901 Wisconsin Ave., Bethesda, MD  20889.  Ameica Banks is also at Walter Reed.  She had surgery and is scheduled be released soon.

June 17– Going Away Fellowship for the Jarrell family after PM services.  Bring finger-foods to share.

June 23– Secret Sister End of the Year Brunch. Bring a brunch item to share; a final gift for your Secret Sister; and a thank you gift for the one who had your name.

June 24– Correia Care Group Luncheon & Meeting, after AM services.

July 4– Come for Bible Class at 7pm, stay for ice-cream/dessert fellowship & fireworks.  Bring ice-cream or a dessert to share.

July 8– Bridal Shower, 4pm, in honor of Kat Hill.  Kat & Jerry are registered at Bed, Bath, & Beyond and Target.

  

YOUTH GROUP NEWS

 June 22-24 -Youth Group Summer Kickoff Campout @ the Farley’s.  For kids going into 6th grade in the fall thru this year’s graduates.  Signup sheet and details are on the bulletin board.  Each person should bring $5 & 2-liter Soda. 

June 26– Girls Day at the church building.

June 28– Car Wash Day, 10am-2pm. Bring bag lunch.

VBS

We are in need of some items to be donated to make this year’s VBS a success. Tina Caffi will collect the items. Needed: 

-One 20+ gallon fish tank (to be returned)

-Lab coats (will be returned)

-20 oz - 2 liter bottles with lids

-fruit & vegetable cans

-cardboard rolls

-various small items (buttons, bottle caps, washers, etc.)

 

TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME!

Amy Hill is organizing a group to go to the Sat., July 7th Washington Nationals v. Colorado Rockies baseball game at 4:05pm.  Tickets are in the $22-$24 range.  Contact Amy by June 24 if you are interested in going to this game.
